This role is responsible for the the trouble shooting and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure systems and equipment continue to work according to functional specifications.

In this role you will:

  • Trouble shoot and repair fire alarm systems
  • Install fire alarm systems
  • Retrofit current fire alarm systems
  • Fill out all required documentation in a timely manner
  • Maintain vehicle in clean and orderly fashion
  • Maintain equipment and tools necessary to safely perform job

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • Able to provide basic hand tools related to installation
  • Strong English writing, math and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or as part of a team

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years’ experience installing and servicing variety of fire systems required
  • Knowledge and application of National Fire Code (NFPA-72)
  • Experience trouble shooting and servicing older systems (preferred)
  • California Fire/Life Safety Certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Valid state issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Fire Sprinkler Service & Install Technician

This role is responsible for the inspection, service and/or repair of fire sprinkler systems. Also responsible for ensuring high levels of accuracy of these responsibilities and working in accordance with applicable national and local Codes and Standards.

In this role you will:

  • Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic
  • Connect pipes using threaded, soldered, grooved, or cemented joints
  • Cut, thread and groove pipe
  • Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers
  • Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and tanks
  • Read blueprints and distinguish the route of the installation

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • Able to perform physical labor
  • Able to work with heights and operate lifts
  • Able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, work from lifts and lift up to 70 pounds
  • Available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings
  • Available to work after-hours on-call rotation
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision or as part of a team

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 years’ experience trouble shooting, servicing and installing Fire Sprinkler systems

We’re looking for someone with the following:

  • Able to perform physical labor
  • Able to climb ladders and lift up to 70 pounds
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

As the Fire Alarm Service & Installation Manager, you will oversee the fire alarm, service, repair, and installation team. Your primary responsibilities include balancing strong business growth while maintaining high employee and customer satisfaction. This includes striving for financial and operational targets that set us up for future growth and investments.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage, coach, mentor, lead and conduct annual reviews for field and administration team.
  • Ensure team revenue and margin targets, and utilization, quality, and scheduling KPIs are met or exceeded.
  • Participate in regular site visits with field team members for mentorship, training, and validation of performance.
  • Lead efforts to develop relationships with local AHJs, key industry associations, and other important industry networks to influence code and enforcement development in favor of our business and our customers.
  • Foster exchanges of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities; inspire and motivate employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement.
  • Improve processes and maintain positive culture within office teams and field teams.
  • Own revenue, margins, and operating expenses or expenditure to achieve monthly and annual business plan projections and forecasts.

What we’re looking for:

  • A technical ability to support teams in the field
  • 1 plus years of proven supervisory or management experience to include demonstrated abilities in leading a team of technician required.
  • 1 plus years lead the scheduling or route-based team. Direct experience with ServiceTrade a plus.
  • High school or GED required; College Degree in business management or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse groups and teams.
  • Thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Fire Alarm Test & Inspection Technician

Location: Mountain View, CA

This role is responsible for the inspection, service and/or repair of fire alarm systems. Also responsible for ensuring high levels of accuracy of these responsibilities and working in accordance with applicable national and local Codes and Standards.

In this role you will:

  • Routinely inspect, test, troubleshoot and service fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct service calls and perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on low voltage systems.
  • Troubleshoot systems to determine source of problem and recommend solution(s).
  • Determine the presence of other fire protection and building systems, and device locations.
  • Conduct fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure that corrective actions are appropriated.
  • Document detailed reports of fire inspections performed, fire code violations observed, and recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on and off site.
  • Provide exceptional customer service & develop strong relationships with customers.
  • Interface successfully with clients and other branches of business; Administration, Sales, and Management.
